Very helpful

Contains detailed information that enables a researcher to successful try a technique that might be foreign, but actually not so difficult in practice. I find myself using this manual often both to try new techniques (e.g. HEK293T instead of insect cell culture) and as a reference to better understand techniques in seminars/papers. Highly recommended for many levels of researcher.

encyclopedic in scope, but requires errata listing

This book will help anyone in determining how to go about an experiment in any molecular biology lab or to help troubleshoot an existing experiment.
There are protocols for many, many lab techniques with extensive instructions. But, even better, the theory behind these instructions is often spelled out in plain terms for anyone who has a 4 year degree in molecular biology or related field.
The only gripe is that there are a noticeable number of typos and nowhere to document them on the Cold Spring Harbor website. It's understandable these kinds of typos would happen, but to not have a way for readers to submit them is rather poor form; especially considering the price of the books.

I would recommend this product. These books are very helpful for someone who works in a lab in the field of molecular biology. Very happy that I have been able to purchase these books from Amazon. The shipping was fast and the books were well protected in a cardboard box.
