Great Book!!! Highly Recommended!!!

This is by far the best weightlifting book that I have ever purchased, and amongst the best books that I have purchased. The book does exactly what it says it does: teaches the reader how to assess and optimize Weightlifting movements. This book is not a designed to teach the reader the Olympic Lifts, so it should probably not be the very first book someone purchases on weightlifting (check out Greg Everett for that). However, it should without question be the second. This book is written in a very clear and concise manner that would allow some who is still learning the basics of the lifts to benefit a great deal. In fact, for a beginner who is not satisfied with his or her progress on the lifts, it is likely that this book will be the answer to improved performance.

Revolutionary Movement Book That Fills A "Gap" In The Weightlifting Library

This book is fantastic and is something totally different for the strength athlete's library. A book that fills a much needed "gap" in the weightlifting resources by addressing movement assessment and positioning that is essential for the weightlifter. This is not a technique or "how to resolve pain" book, but a book to better understand the optimal movements and positions that are required for weightlifting.
I see this being an invaluable "user guide" and "go to" reference for coaches, athletes, and movement enthusiasts.
The 3 main parts of the book (I. Foundation, II. Screening & Assessment, and III. Building The Movements) offer a revolutionary approach to optimizing movement that is both "user friendly" and easy to understand for all readers. There's a LOT of information packed in the book, so It's going to be important to find the few things that can be immediately helpful to the athlete or coach.
This is also a book that can greatly complement other Weightlifting books because there's nothing that even comes close to taking such a "deep dive" into the snatch and clean and jerk, in terms of assessing and optimizing movement patterns. You'll learn how to assessment movement problems and then get specific "corrective strategies" and ideas to implement.
Quinn did a phenomenal job in bringing his great ideas and systems into a practical reference for the athlete and coach.
There's no reader I can think of that wouldn't benefit by using this resource to become a more "skilled mover" as it pertains to weightlifting.
And, the hundreds of pictures in this book are also amazing to reinforce the assessments, techniques, and concepts covered.
I'm excited to see the success of this resource because it's a tremendous guide you'll be able to use and apply to make a difference in movement and performance - for the weightlifter and beyond.

Excellent resource for a clinican/athlete/coach

I truly appreciate the precise correlation of anatomy to its relevance with Olympic weight lifting technique and positions that Dr. Henoch describes. I feel that this sport takes the best of the functional positions that we in the rehabilitative world (as a physical therapist, personally) deem as showing "fullness" (range or motion, motor control, strength, etc.) and actually builds increased function or capability to an extent. Thank you for producing this book- it puts together my two great interests and will be a good resource for me as I continue to pursue and grow in both!
