Food fit for the "DUKE".

It's what the Duke ate. That's what makes it cool. The recipes are all pretty easy and straight forward. Wayne's wife is probably mostly to thank for this book. I'm a Duke fan so I thought why not? It really does have some good recipes and they don't have a lot of exotic ingredients. (That is how I can tell if it's a BULLS*** cookbook.) When you have to spend extreme amounts of money to attain a flavor or a taste. These recipes are totally do-able, with ingredients that are reasonable.

A black man's journey to Vietnam.

David Parks is a black man from an affluent family. After dropping out of college, he is drafted into the U.S. Army in 1965. He goes because he feels it is his duty to serve. His father tells him to make the best of it.

BT SUBJ: REVIEW If this is the book of G.I.'s in WW2, commenting on their episodes of European/Sino warfare, then this is a book to be read to children over the age of 15. For greater impact, (Vet's of WWII), give this to your children's children as a "going away gift" pre-post-humously It's a common user language and expletives are soundly felt as a human-beings reading the rites of a "'last man- of a lost unit", behind enemy lines", signal... I can't go on, but I desire to read the book, "G.I. Diary", once more, so I won't have to launch some kids into another war... Thanks for the opportunity to write my review this review.

About the Author
Donna M. Mertens is Professor in the Department of Educational Foundations and Research at Gallaudet University, where she teaches advanced research methods and program evaluation to deaf and hearing students. She received the Distinguished Faculty Award from Gallaudet. The primary focus of her work is transformative mixed methods inquiry in diverse communities, with priority given to the ethical implications of research in pursuit of social justice. A past president of the American Evaluation Association (AEA), Dr. Mertens provided leadership in the development of the International Organization for Cooperation in Evaluation and the establishment of the AEA Diversity Internship Program with Duquesne University. She has received AEA’s highest honors for service to the organization and the field, as well as for her contributions to evaluation theory. She is the author of several books and is widely published in major professional journals. Dr. Mertens conducts and consults on evaluations in many countries, including Egypt, India, South Africa, Botswana, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, and Costa Rica.�Amy T. Wilson is Director of International Programs at the Mill Neck Family of Organizations, where she leads a team of deaf educational specialists who share their expertise, knowledge, and technical skills with parents, educators, and professionals in economically poor countries. Dr. Wilson was a professor in the Department of Educational Foundations and Research at Gallaudet University for 14 years.�After living in developing countries and noting the poor assistance people with disabilities were receiving from U.S. development organizations, she developed Gallaudet’s MA degree in International Development. The degree, which is the only one of its kind in the United States, focuses on the inclusion of people with disabilities in development assistance programs and in nongovernmental, federal, and faith-based development organizations both in the United States and overseas. Dr. Wilson was Program Director of the International Development Program; she also taught deaf and hearing students research and evaluation, theory and practice of international development, micropolitics, community development with people with disabilities, multicultural education, and gender, disability, and development. Dr. Wilson evaluates and advises development organizations and agencies (e.g., U.S. Agency for International Development, the InterAmerican Development Bank, the World Bank, and the Peace Corps) about the inclusiveness of their programs, as well as their effectiveness with various disability communities.

About the Author
Author Jason McDonald has been active on the Internet since 1994 and has taught SEO, AdWords, and Social Media since 2009 – online, at Stanford University Continuing Studies, at both AcademyX and the Bay Area Video Coalition in San Francisco, at workshops, and in corporate trainings across these United States. His passion is to take complex marketing topics such as SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and make them easy-to-understand for small business owners and marketers. His style is practical, hands-on, and fun. He received his Ph.D. in 1992 from the University of California, Berkeley, and his B.A. from Harvard University in 1985. This book is amazing!
For several months I've been following Jason McDonald on YouTube and used some of the resources on his website. I was expectant that this book would be very helpful, and so far, it has been! This book is written in such a way that breaks SEO to a level that is not intimidating to beginners like me. SEO has been a complicated subject for me, but this book has empowered and encouraged me to pursue it and not give up.
There's an unending number of resources that Jason provides (not just in the book- but also linked to his website) and he gives plenty of examples to make things practical and easy to apply to your website. It's obvious that Jason is not only an expert in this field, but also that he cares about helping others master it too!
Thank you for writing and updating this book to 2017! I am grateful for you Jason McDonald!!
I encourage anyone to read this book. Undoubtedly, you will learn a lot!

One of the best

I've actually had the opportunity to meet this man before and it's amazing how someone so kind and genuine can write a book like this. I would have expected it to be a true beginners guide but it goes beyond that. By explaining the basics of SEO and then ramping things up to allow you to gain a better understanding of why keywords and tags need to be done a certain way.

Thanks to this book and the one before it I was able to take my personal blog from thirty or so regular readers to over five thousand unique visitors a month. I would highly recommend this workbook to anyone who is seriously considering working online as a writer. Even if you're not a writer, you still need to get your product out there for the world to discover and this is the way to do it.

Please ask yourself this question before you purchase this book. What is your objective? If you are looking for a book to assist you to prepre for the ISTQB Foundation Exam, Yes, this is the one that you may consider. But if you are looking to explore the knowledgae and software testing skill, this is not the right book. I used the book for the former.

Yes, I passed my ISTQB Exam using this book, just this book and nothing else. Prior to the preparation of the Exam, I have little background in this subject and I must say that this book is all you need. I have gone through the first 6 chapters 3 rounds, simply over a period of 2 weeks before the Exam, I passed with a score of 31/40. Not fantastic, considering on a self learning basis, this is a good achievement.

Do take note: The questions available at the end of each chapter, can only be used as a reference to assess your readiness. The actual exam questions are different, and it is much more difficult.

Value for money; all you need to pass!

Such a good book! The book tells you that this is all you need to pass the exam - and I for one am proof of this. I was already an IT professional in the QA sector, but this and the followup book provided me with the knowledge I needed to achieve a good pass in Foundation and later Intermediate. I have since recommended to several colleagues who have all thanked me for saving them money and giving advice they found helpful.

The book is designed to give you a good grounding in testing knowledge and basics, and guides you through the sections of the Foundation exam very well. If you have testing experience so far, this book will cement the principles that you probably already know about, if you realise it or not. It'll introduce new ones, or aspects you haven't thought of (yet!).

If you are IT minded and want to get into Quality Assurance, this is a fantastic step forward. Couple this with the correct IT skills(paid for or self taught) and market yourself as a newbie. If you are lucky enough to get an interview, but can blow them way with your QA knowledge then you'll have your foot in the door. A QA Certification does not make you a professional; the drive for professional development, learning new skills and being at an appropriate level for the job you are applying for makes you a professional.

Pay for this book, the exam, get the free Syllabus PDF. Study your little heart out for a few weeks coming up to the exam. Job done!

Fantastic book for any tester/test manager

I bought this book out of curiosity and I am glad that I did purchase the book (Kindle version). This book wass worth reading. Anyone having some sort of SDLC background should understand the storyline captured by this book and use it in real life. This book is, however, NOT for someone who wants to become a tester. This book will definitely help someone having some sort of SDLC knowledge pass ISTQB Foundation exam.

I enjoyed it and I believe it's a good book for people hoping to get ISTQB certified.

Swami Lakshmanjoo was the last in an unbroken line of Kashmir Shaiva masters. As a boy his life was filled with a spiritual thirst to know and realize God. From a very early age he was filled with spiritual experiences. In fact these experiences were so intense that his parents thought he was suffering from hysteria. They were very concerned and approached their family guru, Swamiji's grand master Swami Ram, requesting him to help their son with his hysteria. Swami Ram laughed and said to them, "Don't worry, I should have such a disorder." As Swamiji grew older his desire to completely realize and apprehend the world of spirituality became paramount. To make this a reality he sat at the feet of his guru Swami Mahatabakak and took up the study and practice of Kashmir Shaivism. He became completely engrossed and enthralled in his spirituality, wholeheartedly practicing day and night, ultimately experiencing the fullness of Kashmir Shaiva realization. It is to his beloved Kashmir Shaivism that he devoted the whole of his life, teaching it to those who asked and translating and commenting on what he considered to be the most important texts of this system. He became renowned as a philosopher saint steeped in the tradition of Kashmir Shaivism. With the growing interest in Kashmir Shaivism over the last thirty years, hardly any publication has appeared without a mention of Swami Lakshmanjoo's contribution to this unique philosophy.
